Qualifications

• NAVTA-certified veterinary assistant program completion or equivalent experience
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to perform NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant skills at a level that supports efficient practice

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient flow and assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians
• Communicate with veterinarians and support staff to coordinate care
• Perform procedures that do not require direct veterinarian or technician supervision
• Maintain hospital standards for safety, cleanliness and organization
• Educate clients about wellness plans and preventive care
• Mentor other hospital team members
