Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians and help ensure safe, high-quality care for pets. You will help manage patient flow, liaise with the medical team, and educate clients on wellness plans while upholding hospital standards.

Ideal candidates hold a NAVTA-approved certificate or equivalent, with a high school diploma preferred, and demonstrate competency in NAVTA-aligned skills to improve practice efficiency.

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program certification or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform NAVTA-approved program skills to aid practice efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain the flow of patients.
• Communicate with veterinarians and veterinary technicians.
• Carry out or set up procedures that do not require veterinarian or technician assistance.
• Adhere to hospital standards to keep pets safe and maintain clean treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
• Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and preventive care.
• Mentor other members of the hospital team.
