Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, keeping pets, clients, and staff safe while ensuring quality care continues. You will help manage patient flow, assist with procedures, maintain clean exam rooms, and educate clients on preventive care and our wellness plans.

Preferred candidates have NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant training (or equivalent) and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved credential or equivalent training required or preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Helping maintain the flow of patients
• Communicating with the veterinarian and vet techs
• Carrying out or setting up procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance
• Adhering to hospital standards that keep pets safe, and the treatment areas, exam rooms and labs clean and organized
• Educating clients about preventive care and wellness plans
• Mentoring other hospital team members
