Companions Animal Hospital in Saint Cloud, Minnesota is seeking a Veterinary Assistant / Client Care representative who thrives in a busy clinic and enjoys both hands‑on patient care and helping clients.

This role offers daytime hours, no nights and no weekends, and involves assisting veterinarians and staff, managing appointments, and maintaining records while delivering compassionate service to pets and their families.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary experience preferred.
• 1+ years of Veterinary Assistant or customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable working with both pets and people.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Organized, dependable and detail‑oriented.
• Able to multitask in a busy environment.
• Positive, team‑oriented and eager to learn and offer solutions to whatever comes your way.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients, answer phones and schedule appointments
• Assist with check‑in, discharge, invoicing and payments
• Help manage client communication, appointment flow and schedule openings
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Assist veterinarians and technicians with appointments, treatments and procedures
• Obtain histories, vital signs and patient information
• Assist with patient handling, sample collection, radiology, pharmacy, surgery and dentistry
• Perform venipuncture and catheter placement based on experience
• Jump in where needed to support patients, clients and teammates
