Banfield Pet Hospital in Mount Juliet, TN is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians and help ensure safe, quality care for pets and clients.

You will help maintain patient flow, communicate with the veterinary team, assist with procedures, and educate clients on preventive care and Optimum Wellness Plans. NAVTA program and a high school diploma are preferred, with growth opportunities at Banfield.

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to perform NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program skills.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain the flow of patients and assist veterinarians and vet techs.
• Communicate with the veterinarian and vet techs during procedures.
• Carry out procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance.
• Adhere to hospital standards to keep pets safe and areas clean.
• Educate clients about preventive care and our Optimum Wellness Plans.
