Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians in daily patient care and to help ensure a safe, clean, efficient hospital environment. You will educate clients about preventive care and wellness plans while assisting with procedures and maintaining hospital standards.

The role requires NAVTA-approved program completion (or equivalent) and a high school diploma; training and career growth opportunities are available within Banfield’s large network.

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in daily tasks
• Ensure safety of pets, clients and staff
• Maintain clinic flow and assist with procedures
• Educate clients about preventive care and wellness plans
• Mentor other hospital team members
