Responsibilities

• Maintain patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations.
• Communicate effectively with veterinarians, vet technicians, and clients.
• Carry out or set up procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance.
• Adhere to hospital standards by keeping treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs clean and organized.
• Educate clients about Banfield’s Optimum Wellness Plans and the importance of preventive care.
• Mentor and support other hospital team members.

Education & Licenses

• Certificate of completion from a NAVTA‑approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent education, training, and experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience

• Must be able to perform all required skills of a NAVTA‑approved veterinary assistant program at a level that aids in the efficiency of the practice.
