We are seeking Veterinary Assistants with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join our team. Previous veterinary hospital experience is preferred but not mandatory, as we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

The Veterinary Technician Assistant (TA) supports patient care and operational efficiency by assisting the Doctor (DVM) with technical tasks and administrative duties. The role involves facilitating communication between the operating room, front office, and clients to ensure smooth workflow.

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Minimum 1 year of veterinary industry experience
• Ability to properly and safely restrain animals
• Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and medications
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs to waist height
• Frequent standing, bending, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Self-motivated and team-oriented

A Day In The Life

• Assist the DVM in preparing patients for surgeries and examinations, including anesthesia administration and restraint
• Partner with the DVM to triage patients efficiently based on needs
• Support the DVM with appointments, treatment recording, and medical procedures
• Assist the Client Service Specialist team as needed
