We are looking for the right person to join our team! CityVet seeks Veterinary Assistants with a minimum of 1 year of experience. Previous veterinary hospital experience is preferred, but entry-level positions are available, and we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinary Technicians in maintaining excellent patient care and operational productivity.
• Help streamline communication between the operating room, front office, and clients.

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Minimum 1 year veterinary experience
• Ability to safely restrain animals
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and medications
• Lift 50 lbs
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Self-motivated and team-oriented

A Day In The Life

• Assist in preparing patients for surgeries, including anesthesia and restraint.
• Partner with Veterinarian and Technician teams for patient triage and treatments.
• Record observations and assist with medical treatments under supervision.
• Support Client Service team as needed.
