Job summary

Spanaway Veterinary clinic is seeking staff to join our long‑standing practice in Spanaway. We operate as a growing 4 doctor team serving dogs, cats and exotics with a focus on high‑quality patient care and compassionate service.

Positions include full and part‑time openings. Compensation is wage DOE with benefits such as 401(k), health and vision insurance, paid time off, and employee discounts. Applicants should be capable of lifting up to 40 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Must be 18yrs old or older.
• Prefer 1+ years of experience, but not required.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Work requires lifting, carrying and restraining animals (will be assisted by other staff members in lifting animals over 40 lbs.). Should be able to lift 40lbs on own.
• Walks or stands for extended periods or time; frequently works in a bent or squatting position.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and treatment
• Monitor patients under anesthesia
• Maintain inventory and stocking
• Restrain animals during blood draws and nail trims
• Aid with routine diagnostic tests
• Maintain & sterilize surgical instruments/equipment
• Clean/Disinfect cages, kennels, exam and treatment areas of hospital
• Administering medications under Veterinarian/Vet Tech supervision
• Take patient history
• Use Avimark for medical entries
• Perform dental cleaning and scaling

Schedule:

• 8-12 Hour Shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Saturday
