Windy Hill Veterinary Hospital in Smyrna, GA is seeking an experienced veterinary assistant to join a team‑oriented practice. You will assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgeries, handle and restrain animals, and educate clients.
The ideal candidate has kennel experience, strong animal handling, good communication, and ability to work collaboratively. AVMA‑accredited program preferred but not required; AmeriVet supports growth with CE programs at no cost.
Windy Hill Veterinary Hospital is looking for a team oriented, experienced veterinary assistant who is comfortable with restraint, history taking, and using fear free handling tactics for those patients who are nervous.
Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.
Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
