Job summary

VCA Urgent Care Northwest San Antonio is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. In this fast-paced urgent care setting, you will assist veterinarians during outpatient visits, perform patient treatments, radiology, phlebotomy and vaccinations, and support front desk communications.

You will help with kennel duties, client education, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and laboratory diagnostics while providing compassionate care and ensuring a smooth hospital

Qualifications

• Experience as Veterinary Assistant in outpatient/urgent care.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong client communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during outpatient visits.
• Perform patient treatments and monitoring.
• Assist with radiology procedures and phlebotomy.
• Administer vaccinations and IV fluids.
