Veterinary Assistant Responsibilities:

• Prepare clinic tables for walk-in patients by cleaning and organizing
• Understand infectious and zoonotic diseases, including prevention and transmission reduction
• Assist in pet restraint to ensure minimal stress and safety during procedures
• Support the veterinarian with basic prevention visits and vaccination needs
• Record temperatures, weights, and administer vaccines and medications

Qualifications:

• Bilingual skills are a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience as a vet assistant or technician preferred, including animal care, restraint, and client interaction
• Ability to handle outdoor elements, load equipment, and travel between clinic sites
• Physical ability to walk, stand for long periods, bend, stoop, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs; good communication skills; manual dexterity
