Job Description Summary

The Veterinary Assistant is a key member of the hospital team who supports and assists veterinarians and veterinary technicians, ensuring the safety of pets, clients, and staff, and maintaining quality veterinary care.

Preferred Education/Licenses

Certificate of completion from a NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent education, training, and experience. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service, ensuring client and pet comfort.
• Use technical skills within state practice acts and NAVTA guidelines.
• Help maintain the flow of patients.
