Bargersville Veterinary Hospital and Wellness Center in Franklin, IN, part of Thrive Pet Healthcare, seeks an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our close-knit team. Full-time, 4-day work week; responsibilities include supporting veterinarians, maintaining records, and assisting in surgeries while delivering compassionate care to pets and clients.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years veterinary assistant experience, strong communication, teamwork, and a willingness to help receptionist duties.

Qualifications

• Veterinary assistant experience required; 1-2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality care, educate clients.
• Assist with hospital functions and maintain patient flow.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures per state Act.
• Communicate with clients about health concerns and Thrive Memberships.
• Maintain medical records with practice systems.
• Obtain health history and update medical charts.
• Maintain clean, sterile treatment areas and labs.
• Guide and support fellow team members.

Bargersville Veterinary Hospital and Wellness Center is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

Your Experience & Skills

• Veterinary assistant experience required-1-2 years' experience highly preferred
• Ability to multi-task
• Great communication skills
• Works well on a team or independently
• Willingness to assist in reception when needed
• Previous customer service experience

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• With each hospital function,assistveterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity andmaintainpositive patient flow.
• Assistwith surgeries and proceduresin accordance withyour state's Veterinary Practice Act.
• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance onThrive Membershipoptions, medications, andadditionaltreatments.
• Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
• Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
• Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
• Be willing to guide and support fellow team members.
