Bargersville Veterinary Hospital & Wellness Center, Franklin, IN, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This full-time role supports veterinarians, maintains patient flow, and may assist in surgeries while ensuring excellent client communication.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of veterinary setting experience, strong multitasking and teamwork abilities, and a willingness to assist in reception when needed.

Qualifications

• Veterinary assistant experience required; 1-2 years preferred.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Great communication skills.
• Works well on a team or independently.
• Willingness to assist in reception when needed.
• Previous customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act.
• Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
• Maintain medical records with practice systems.
• Obtain health history from clients and maintain medical charts.
• Use safe restraining techniques and keep treatment areas clean and organized.
• Guide and support fellow team members.

Your Experience & Skills

• Veterinary assistant experience required-1-2 years' experience highly preferred
