Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and licensed technicians during physical examinations, sedated exams, and clinical procedures.

• Communicate clearly with clients about medications, discharge care, and follow-up instructions.

Just Cats Clinic is a growing feline-only practice in Reston, VA. As an AAHA-accredited and AAFP Gold Certified Cat Friendly Practice, we are dedicated to delivering compassionate care and gold-standard medicine tailored to every feline patient.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Assistance: Assist veterinarians and licensed technicians during physical examinations, sedated exams, and clinical procedures.
• Gentle Handling: Provide gentle, safe, and low-stress handling tailored to cats of all temperaments.
• Inpatient Care: Help care for hospitalized patients, monitor food/water intake, and maintain clean patient housing.
• Client Communication: Communicate clearly with clients about medications, discharge care, and follow-up instructions.
• Cleanliness & Environment: Maintain clinic cleanliness, sanitize equipment, and uphold our soothing feline-friendly environment.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate actively in team problem-solving and workflow enhancements.

Schedule

• Full-Time: Approximately 40 hours per week.
• Shifts: Primarily weekday shifts with one weekend day required. Differential pay applies to urgent care/weekend shifts.
• Pay Range: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour starting range (plus shift differential for urgent care/weekends).
