Just Cats Clinic seeks an enthusiastic Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our feline-focused care team in Reston, VA. You will work with doctors, clients, and patients to conduct wellness visits, diagnostics, ultrasounds, sedated exams, dental cleanings, and surgeries.

The role emphasizes collaboration, reliability, and punctuality, with full-time 40 hours/week. Shifts are 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 12:00 PM–8:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician in Virginia (LVT/RVT/CVT).
• Strong multitasking, organizational and client-facing communication.
• Experience with Fear Free handling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during outpatient appointments, sedated procedures, soft-tissue surgeries, and hospitalization.
• Triage urgent arrivals and monitor hospitalized patients.
• Place IV catheters, venipuncture, cystocentesis, blood pressure monitoring, and injections.
• Monitor anesthesia during dental cleanings and surgeries; take dental radiographs.
• Maintain sterilization, instrument prep, and operatory cleanliness.
• Provide compassionate client education regarding post-operative care and plans.

Just Cats Clinic is seeking an enthusiastic Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our collaborative feline healthcare team. Reporting directly to the Patient Care Supervisor, the LVT works alongside our doctors, clients, and patients to facilitate wellness visits, diagnostic workups, ultrasounds, sedated exams, dental cleanings, and surgical procedures. Multi-tasking, dependability, and punctuality are critical to success in this role.

• Doctor & Patient Support: Assist veterinarians during outpatient appointments, sedated procedures, soft-tissue surgeries, and hospitalization.
• Triage & Inpatient Monitoring: Triage urgent arrivals and monitor stable hospitalized patients.
• Clinical Skills: Place IV catheters, perform venipuncture, cystocentesis, blood pressure monitoring, and subcutaneous/intramuscular injections.
• Anesthesia & Dentistry: Monitor anesthesia during dental cleanings and surgical procedures; take dental radiographs.
• Surgical Suite Care: Maintain, pack, and autoclave surgical instruments; maintain operating room cleanliness and sterilization.
• Client Education: Provide compassionate client education regarding post-operative care, diagnostic plans, and home treatments.
• Full-Time: 40 hours/week.
• Shifts: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday (with occasional rotational weekend support as needed).
• Pay Range: $29.00 – $38.00 per hour, based on experience and credentials.

Qualifications
