Job summary

NOVA Cat Clinic is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Assistant to support cat patients with a focus on comfort and quality care. You’ll work in a cat-friendly, stress‑reduced environment using modern equipment and a collaborative team to deliver gold standard medicine.

This role includes maintaining medical records, preparing exam rooms, assisting with assessments, and explaining home care to clients. A 1+ year vet experience or related education is required, with full-time hours and onsite

Qualifications

• 1+ year veterinary experience or related education.
• Team-oriented and able to multitask.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones
• Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy
• Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas
• Perform physical assessments and record observations
• Prepare estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients
• Explain necessary follow-up and home care instructions
• Stock clinic treatment area and exam rooms; inform inventory manager when supplies need ordering
• Care for all surgical materials and keep the operating room stocked and prepared for surgery

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones
• Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy
• Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas
