Vista Pet Hospital is a fast-paced, three-doctor practice that provides exceptional care for pets and their families. We are seeking a friendly, motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. We'd love to hear from you if you love animals and excel at patient care!
Key Responsibilities :
- Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
- Knowledge of preventative care and vaccines
- Competency in emergency and surgical care - including IV catheter placement
- Diagnostics - including radiographs, phlebotomy and sample collection, and in-house lab work
- Professional, compassionate communication with clients and staff.
- Succinct documentation of patient records and client interactions.

Qualifications :
- Previous experience in a veterinary hospital required.
- Basic knowledge of drug calculations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to anticipate patient / DVM needs.
- Proficient with computers and office equipment; experience with eVet / Pulse is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-direction / motivation. Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team.
- Passion for animals and empathy for their owners.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
