Bethany Family Pet Clinic has an opening for a full-time veterinary assistant to join our team!
Location: 15166 NW Central Drive Portland, Oregon 97229
Shift Details: Weekends are required, Friday-Monday (4) 10-hour shifts
Compensation: $19 - $22 / hour based on experience
Bethany Family Pet Clinic is a ten doctor practice located in the heart of Bethany Village, an adorable and family-friendly neighborhood in Portland. We have a large, knowledgeable team to help you grow your skills, and the type of clients who are willing to go the extra mile for their pets. We are a full-service practice, including orthopedic surgery, endoscopy, ultrasound, acupuncture, and full-stage life care. AAHA Accredited and Fear Free Certified Practice.
Our ideal candidate has at least 1-2 years of veterinary assisting experience and should be proficient in canine and feline restraint, client communication and education, general knowledge of veterinary prescription medications, nursing care, surgical and dental assisting.
Job Summary: The Veterinary Assistant aids and supports the medical support team in the operation of an animal facility in accordance with Mission Veterinary Partners (MVP) hospital policy and procedures. The Veterinary Assistant also provides medical care to patients as allowed in the veterinary practice act.
