ER/ECC Veterinary Assistant- Swing

Welcome to Animal Emergency & Specialty Center (AESC)! We are a 24/7 Emergency Care Veterinary Hospital with 7 different Specialties. Our Nursing staff is essential to us, providing care to pets and clients in our community. About the Role:

Emergency and Critical Care Assistants (ER/ECC) support the delivery of urgent and intensive care to animals in critical conditions, under the supervision of veterinarians and registered veterinary technicians.

Compensation:
  • $18 - $22 depending on experience
Schedule:
  • Full Time
  • Sundays - Wednesdays
  • 3pm-1am
Essential Job Functions:
  • Prepare exam rooms and tools for each visit.
  • Retrieve patient charts on request.
  • Obtain vitals, lab work, and diagnostics as needed.
  • Assist with animal restraint for exams and procedures.
  • Care for hospitalized patients: administer medications, monitor vital signs, and other duties as ordered.
  • Clean kennels, runs, wet tables, and treatment areas.
  • Assist in Ultrasound if needed.
  • Perform laundry and basic grooming.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least ONE YEAR of veterinary assistant experience is REQUIRED.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading); multiple languages a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years of experience as a veterinary assistant, including animal restraint and radiographs.
  • Experience in emergency/specialty settings.
  • Knowledge of EasyVet or similar medical record systems.
