VCA East Mill Plain Animal Hospital - Veterinary Assistant

VCA East Mill Plain Animal Hospital, an AAHA-accredited, multi-doctor practice serving the Vancouver and Portland metro area for over 30 years, is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team. We are a Fear-Free certified team committed to exceptional patient care, client education, and a collaborative environment. We value teamwork, communication, and the well-being of our patients.

Compensation

$17 - $19 per hour, based on skills, education, certifications, and experience.

Schedule

Full-time positions with flexible scheduling options.

The Position

Whether you are an experienced Veterinary Assistant or a Technician in training, we want to utilize your knowledge and skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing quality patient care with a Fear-Free approach
• Maintaining hospital cleanliness and upkeep
• Prioritizing and adjusting tasks as needed
• Cleaning and packing surgical instruments, preparing and cleaning surgical suites
• Stocking exam rooms, treatment areas, and operating rooms
• Processing laboratory samples
• Assisting Veterinarians and Technicians

Maintaining accurate records and logs is essential.
