Woodside Animal Hospital in Port Orchard, WA seeks a dedicated Veterinary Assistant for a full‑time role. You’ll work closely with veterinarians and technicians, perform pre-exam checks, radiographs, lab work, and assist in surgeries.

What Our Veterinary Assistants Do

• Perform pre-exam check-ins and gather patient history
• Educate clients on their pet’s care and next steps
• Keep thorough, accurate electronic medical records
• Handle and restrain patients safely and calmly during exams and treatments
• Run basic in-house lab tests
• Assist veterinarians and technicians with appointments and procedures
• Take radiographs (x-rays)
• Assist in surgery and clean, pack, and prepare surgical supplies
• Fill prescriptions once you hold pharmacy clerk certification
• Clean and restock the hospital to keep it running smoothly
• Responsibilities may vary based on hospital needs as well as your experience, training, certifications, credentials, and assigned responsibilities
