VCA Animal Hospital of Plainfield is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our Patient Care Team!

Schedule: Full-time opportunities available with flexible scheduling, 4 x 10-hour shifts.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

1. Assisting doctors and technicians with exams, treatments, and procedures
2. Patient handling and restraint
3. Performing TPRs (temperature, pulse, respiration) and patient observations
4. Administering oral and topical medications as directed
5. Cleaning and maintaining exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment
6. Preparing and restocking surgical and treatment areas
7. Supporting client communication and education
8. Maintaining accurate medical records and assisting with discharge instructions
9. Providing compassionate care to hospitalized pets
