*VCA Animal Hospital of Plainfield *is seeking a *Veterinary Assistant *to join our Patient Care Team!

*Schedule:* Full-time opportunities available with flexible scheduling, 4 x10 hour shifts.

*Your Responsibilities Will Include:*
* Assisting doctors and technicians with exams, treatments, and procedures
* Patient handling and restraint
* Performing TPRs (temperature, pulse, respiration) and patient observations
* Administering oral and topical medications as directed
* Cleaning and maintaining exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment
* Preparing and restocking surgical and treatment areas
* Supporting client communication and education
* Maintaining accurate medical records and assisting with discharge instructions
* Providing compassionate care to hospitalized pets
