The Pet Hospitals is looking for a Veterinary Technician Assistant to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

As a Veterinary Technician Assistant, you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing end-to-end care for our patients. Your work will include hands-on care, facilitating outpatient treatments, performing laboratory tests, and support services such as admitting and discharging patients.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
2. Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
3. Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed veterinary technicians.
4. Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional services.
5. Maintain comprehensive medical records with support from practice systems.
6. Obtain health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
7. Use safe restraining techniques, follow protocols, and keep treatment areas clean and organized.
8. Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.

Experience & Skills Requirements:

• One year of recent experience in a veterinary setting preferred.
• Commitment to teamwork.
