The Pet Doctor in Lakewood is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our close-knit, animal-loving team. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends, emphasizing compassionate patient care and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Safely restrain animals for examinations, diagnostics, and treatments.
• Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites.
• Monitor hospitalized patients.
• Assist with basic patient care.
• Collect and prepare laboratory samples as directed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment notes.
• Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Communicate professionally with pet owners.
• Assist with client education.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinic environment.

What Our Veterinary Assistants Do

As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll work alongside our veterinarians and veterinary technicians to provide compassionate patient care while helping keep the hospital organized and running efficiently.
