Why Springfield Veterinary Center?Established in 2000, Springfield Veterinary Center is an AAHA-accredited, full-service hospital known for exceptional patient care and a close-knit, professional team. We also specialize in veterinary reproduction, offering services like PennHIP/OFA radiographs, progesterone testing, and advanced insemination techniques. Whether you're experienced or new to Theriogenology, our seasoned LVTs are here to mentor and support your learning.
Position Details Compensation: $16–$17/hour Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with a rotating Saturday Clinic Hours:
Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
What You’ll DoAs a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll be a vital member of our clinical team. Your responsibilities may include:
Safe and effective animal restraint
Assisting in surgery and dental procedures
Monitoring anesthesia and sedation
Triage and in-room client support
Administering vaccines and preventives
Venipuncture and running lab tests on Idexx lab equipemnt
Using Cornerstone software for medical records and client checkout
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology Experience with lab equipment and dental/surgical monitoring Familiarity with vaccine protocols and preventative care Interest in reproductive medicine is a plus—but not required

Benefits:
PTO - 40
Full-time team members will be awarded additional PTO based on their years of service.
Holiday Pay 48 hours to apply towards 6 recognized holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day)
*The holiday PTO hours can be used at the team member’s discretion to cover the actual holiday as observed by the hospital or other absences with approval from their Manager.
