BoosterPet is looking for passionate and experienced Veterinary Assistants to share our vision of providing a healthy workspace at our Federal Way clinic. Assistants must possess good critical thinking and problem-solving skills, compassion, a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Play an active role in the BoosterPet medical team to provide quality medical care, modeling BoosterPet’s core values
• Be tech-savvy and support BoosterPet virtual care services
• Complete detailed medical records with thorough medical history, ensuring accuracy within the practice management system
• Educate animal owners
• Complete vitals on behalf of our DVMs/veterinary technicians
• Liaise with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure continuity of patient care
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure the safety of pets, clients, and team members
• Administer medications and vaccines as prescribed by a veterinarian
• Maintain medication clerk licensure and verify medications
• Perform phlebotomy duties and provide IM, IV, and SQ injections
• Restrain pets appropriately to minimize stress and ensure safety
• Assist at the front desk/kiosk and greet clients/patients upon entry
• Answer phones and schedule appointments as needed

Requirements: Experience is required, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with an upbeat attitude. A Medication Clerk license is preferred but can be obtained if not currently licensed. Flexibility and willingness to adapt are essential to help our growing company succeed in both conventional and innovative ways.
