Alliance Animal Health is seeking a Veterinary Assistant for Wedington Animal Hospital in Fayetteville, AR. The role supports clinical care, lab work, imaging, and anesthesia monitoring in a busy practice.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of experience, be compassionate, calm, and a strong communicator, with the ability to restrain animals and assist with procedures. Opportunities for training and career development are available.

Responsibilities

• Restrain and triage incoming patients.
• Collect and analyze lab samples; perform radiographs and diagnostic imaging.
• Provide nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases; assist in surgeries and anesthesia.
• Communicate treatment plans clearly with clients; administer medications.

Wedington Animal Hospital is a well-established, progressive, 10 doctor general practice located in Fayetteville, AR. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

• An experienced Veterinary Assistantwith a minimum of 1-year experience preferred.

• Must be able to properly restrain pets.
• Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, andanesthesia monitoring are a bonus!
