Job Summary

Banfield Pet Hospital in Denton is seeking Veterinary Assistants. In this role you will work closely with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to provide high‑quality care while ensuring a safe, clean environment for pets, clients, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Help maintain the flow of patients
• Communicate with veterinarians and vet technicians
• Carry out or set up procedures that require no veterinarian or vet tech assistance
• Adhere to hospital standards that keep pets safe and maintain clean treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs
• Educate clients about our Optimum Wellness Plans® and the importance of preventive care
• Mentor other members of the hospital team

Qualifications and Experience

Preferred Education/Licenses: Certificate of completion from a NAVTA‑approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent combination of education, training and experience; high‑school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Experience: Ability to perform all required skills of NAVTA‑approved veterinary assistant programs at a level that aids in the efficiency of the practice.

Compensation

Hourly pay range: $15.99–$20.44, subject to individual experience, skill level, and education.
