Veterinary Assistant

Boston Veterinary Clinic – Bay Village | Boston, MA

Boston Veterinary Clinic – Bay Village is looking for a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our collaborative team. As the flagship location of the Boston Veterinary Clinic network, our AAHA Accredited and Fear Free Certified® hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional care while creating a positive experience for both our patients and team members.

  • Location: 363 Tremont Street, Boston, MA 02116
  • Compensation: $20–$24/hour (based on experience)
  • Schedule: 35–40 hours per week with every other Saturday
  • Practice Management Software: EzyVet

About Our Hospital

Opened in 2014 as the first Boston Veterinary Clinic location, Bay Village is a full-service small animal hospital caring for dogs and cats throughout the Greater Boston area. Medical Services

You'll assist with a variety of cases and procedures, including:

We're Looking For

  • Fear Free patient handling techniques
  • Proficient in Restraint
  • Solid understanding of core vs. lifestyle vaccines
  • Venipuncture experience is preferred
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to closely monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative hospital environment

What You’ll Bring to the Team
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A calm and efficient approach, with the ability to handle a fast‑paced and sometimes stressful environment with composure.
  • Confidence and skill in handling pets of all sizes and temperaments.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills ranging from laboratory and pharmacy to nursing and radiology is a strong asset.
