Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited veterinary medical school.
  • Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Oregon.
  • Solid knowledge of animal pathophysiology, anatomy and diseases.
  • Experience with animal restraint, handling, and care.
  • Excellent communication with pet owners and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat various illnesses and injuries in animals.
  • Perform surgeries and other medical procedures as needed.
  • Conduct physical examinations and administer vaccinations.
  • Provide preventative care, including dental cleanings and parasite control.
  • Educate pet owners on proper nutrition, behavior, and overall pet care.
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to provide comprehensive care for animals.
  • Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.

Job Description

Small animal practice is seeking a veterinarian to join our team. Our hospital sees dogs, cats and exotic species (seeing exotics is optional). Willing to train and mentor a new graduate. Position is available for immediate hire.

Experience
  • Graduated from an accredited veterinary medical school
  • Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Oregon
  • Strong knowledge of animal pathophysiology, anatomy and disease processes, veterinary terminology, and laboratory procedures
  • Experience in animal restraint, handling, and care
  • Excellent communication skills with both pet owners and fellow staff members

Schedule
