Job summary

Nashville Public Radio is seeking a veterinarian to join a full-service, AAHA-accredited practice in Oregon with 24/7 emergency services. You will provide high-quality care for small animals, perform surgeries, and manage hospitalized cases while collaborating with ER and ICU staff.

The role emphasizes mentorship, continuing education, and access to advanced diagnostics such as digital radiography and ultrasound.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience preferred.
  • Interest and experience in general practice and surgery a plus.
  • Oregon Veterinary License in good standing.
  • Strong surgical and emergency skills, with a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Providing high-quality veterinary care for small animals, including diagnostics and medical management.
  • Performing surgeries, managing hospitalized cases, and handling outpatient emergencies.
  • Collaborating with a dedicated support staff in a 3:1 staff-to-doctor ratio (ER and ICU techs).
  • Using digital radiography, ultrasound, therapies lasers, and CO2 laser for soft tissue surgeries.
  • Mentorship and continuing education through internal specialty consultations.
