Reynolds Community College in Virginia seeks a Military Services Coordinator/VERITAS Liaison to lead the Military Resource Center and deliver student-centered services to active-duty, veterans, reservists, and dependents.

The role supervises SCOs and student workers, develops holistic support strategies, partners with Admissions for recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and ensures consistent service across campus locations.

Qualifications

• Considerable knowledge of the Veterans Administration Education Benefit process through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the Virginia Department of Veterans Services.
• Considerable knowledge of admission and academic entry requirements, enrollment, orientation, placement, and registration processes for colleges and universities.
• Considerable knowledge of financial aid programs and processes, academic advising strategies, career assessments, academic programs and courses.
• Considerable knowledge of college transfer requirements, occupational and technical career options, and workforce services/programs offered in the college setting.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to administer a resource center, develop community partnerships, evaluate program, and report results of assessments to various constituents.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service to a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Demonstrated knowledge of commonly used software systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the strategic and operational leader of Military Services with primary oversight of the Military Resource Center.
• Provide comprehensive, student-centered academic and support services to military-affiliated students and dependents.
• Supervise full-time and part-time personnel including SCOs and student workers.
• Develop and implement holistic support strategies to promote recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and timely completion of educational goals.
• Lead outreach and recruitment efforts in collaboration with Admissions to build community relationships.
• Manage data, program evaluation, and continuous improvement of services across campus locations.
