Job summary

United Way Miami is seeking a Case Manager for MISSION UNITED to provide holistic, client-centered case management for veterans, transitioning service members, and military families. The role emphasizes service coordination, goal setting, and promoting economic mobility in a community-focused program.

You will conduct intake, needs assessments, and referrals, while maintaining accurate records and engaging in community outreach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in social work, psychology or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2–3 years of case management or related social services experience.
• Experience with veterans and military families preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake and needs assessments and connect participants with services and resources.
• Provide counseling and support to promote wellbeing and success.
• Advocate for participants to access services and meet basic needs.
• Apply trauma-informed, person-centered approaches to services.
• Maintain knowledge of community resources and eligibility requirements.
• Communicate regularly with participants and providers to monitor progress.
• Maintain confidential records in the case management system.
• Participate in outreach and promote MISSION UNITED services.
• Conduct case consultations and crisis prevention/intervention as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned and participate in emergency management.
