• Must be veteran and eligible for membership in The American Legion.
• Must be able to handle myriad details of planning and organizing meetings.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral presentation skills.
• Must have good skills using MS Office products.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee the employment and education segment of the National Economic Commission.
• Serve as liaison to Congressional committees, federal agencies, private sector organizations, and appropriate individuals.
• Prepare, deliver, and defend Congressional testimony on subjects pertinent to the mandates of the National Veterans Employment & Education Commission.
• Survey, study and recommend solutions on problems relating to employment and unemployment of veterans.
• Maintain a close working relationship with appropriate Congressional committees and subcommittees.
