Job summary

Ozaukee County seeks a dedicated individual to transport veterans for medical appointments. Responsibilities include driving veterans in a personal vehicle and assisting with transfers. A valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and proof of vehicle insurance are required. This position offers a competitive pay rate of $18.91 per trip plus additional passenger compensation, alongside benefits like health insurance, a pension program, and tuition reimbursement depending on employment status.

Position Summary:

• Transports Ozaukee County veterans to/from VA medical appointments

Description of the Job:

• Respond to availability inquiries by phone, text and/or electronic mail within 24 hours.
• Drive veterans to/from VA medical appointments, utilizing personal vehicle.
• Provide minimal assistance to veterans with transfer from wheelchair/walker to/from vehicle.

• This position operates with minimal supervision.
