Job summary

The Boise VA Healthcare System is seeking a Registered Nurse to implement a streamlined Veteran Community Care process. The role includes triaging referrals, guiding scheduling, and directing timely, coordinated care across VA and community options.

The RN will adhere to VA guidelines, maintain clinical documentation, and collaborate with VA providers to ensure safe, high-quality care for Veterans across locations in Idaho and nearby regions.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in English (written and spoken).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/ Diploma/ BSN).
• Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Foreign nursing education requires degree equivalence validation if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming referrals and discuss care options.
• Guide Veterans through care options, including VA and community care.
• Coordinate scheduling and pre-work/tests as needed.
• Ensure compliance with VA health information and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with VA providers to route referrals to appropriate services.
