Job summary

EGA Associates, LLC is seeking a qualified Phlebotomist to support laboratory and point-of-care services at a Primary Care Community Based Outpatient Clinic serving Veterans in Idabel, OK. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collection, ensuring specimen integrity and timely processing.

The role requires phlebotomy competency, infection control knowledge, and the ability to operate EHR systems. Travel is limited; full-time schedule and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy and specimen collection competency.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique, infection control, bloodborne-pathogen precautions, patient identification, specimen integrity, and confidentiality.
• Ability to complete VA and EGA background screening, annual competencies, privacy, security, EHR, and onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary collection per training and procedures.
• Identify patients and explain specimen-collection procedures.
• Label, handle, and route specimens maintaining integrity and timelines.
• Support PT/INR testing and point-of-care testing when trained.
• Maintain documentation and report quality or safety concerns.
• Coordinate with care team and laboratory services as assigned.
