Job summary

International SOS Government Medical Services is seeking a scheduling coordinator to help Veterans access timely healthcare by coordinating appointments, referrals, and community care services within a structured outpatient environment. You will work alongside providers and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care and accurate scheduling.

The role is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with federal holidays off.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card holder; ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust Clearance.
Ability to work in an office environment, including prolonged sitting and occasional lifting up to 15 pounds.

Responsibilities

Coordinate patient appointments, consults, referrals, and follow-up activities.
Manage patient communications, update demographic information, and facilitate timely coordination of care.
Maintain accurate electronic patient records by processing healthcare documentation and referrals.
Support clinic operations, patient check-in, and daily workflow.
Handle sensitive patient information in compliance with privacy and HIPAA requirements.
Collaborate with clinic leadership to maintain efficient operation and quality standards.
