Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Green Bay, WI seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care within the Northeast Wisconsin Ambulatory Care division.

You will work under RN/MD oversight, delivering patient-centered care to Veterans and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include medication administration, patient education, and adherence to infection control and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or NLNAC accreditation.
• Full-active-current-unrestricted licensure as an LPN in a U.S. State/ Territory or D.C.

Responsibilities

• LPN serves as the point of care within the NEWAC Division in Green Bay.
• Provide quality nursing care to a culturally diverse veteran population.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient/employee information in all formats.
• Work in a safe manner including infection control and equipment operation.
• Apply nursing process within a collaborative, interdisciplinary practice setting.
• Communicate and interact appropriately with internal and external customers.
• Assist in meeting the VA Medical Center's Vision and Mission; participate in performance improvement.
