Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Primary Care team in a VA medical facility. You will collaborate with the RN/MD and other professionals to deliver complex nursing care to Veterans across a range of health needs.

You will plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, document observations, and educate patients about their care and recovery. Regular hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with opportunity to support comprehensive Veteran care.

Qualifications

• Licensed practical or vocational nurse (LPN/LVN) with established competencies in nursing process and patient care.
• Preferred experience: minimum of 2 years LPN experience.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Delivers complex nursing care with independence under general supervision.
• Documents care provided and patient responses, and communicates changes to RN/MD.
• Educates patients about care, medications, and recovery process.
• Works with PACT team to develop and evaluate patient care plans.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 0800-1630.
