Job summary

ExamWorks is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to conduct Compensation & Pension examinations for veterans and service members, plus Physical Health Assessments and related evaluations. You will review medical and service records, perform focused examinations, and complete detailed evaluative reports in line with VBA, DMA, and VHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Active and unrestricted RN and NP license required.
• Master's degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations for veterans and service members.
• Conduct Physical Health Assessments (PHAs), reservist annual physicals, and DOI examinations.
• Obtain comprehensive claimant health histories and perform focused physical examinations and assessments.
• Review claimant medical records, service records, and diagnostics to support evaluations.
• Prepare evaluative reports in accordance with VBA, DMA, VHA, and guidelines.
• Assist with blood draws and diagnostic support as needed.
• Ensure all reports and documentation are completed within submission timelines.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and claimant confidentiality.
• Collaborate with Medical Assistants and staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Mentor Medical Assistants and operational staff as needed.
• Participate in meetings and training to stay current with standards.
