Job summary

Orionplacement in Scottsdale, AZ, seeks a licensed attorney to advocate for veterans in benefits claims, appeals, and administrative proceedings before the VA and related agencies. You will review records, develop case strategy, draft submissions, and communicate with clients to ensure timely, ethical representation.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active Arizona Bar license in good standing.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and client communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership potential, professionalism, sound judgment, and high emotional intelligence.
• Strong organization and ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
• Veterans benefits, VA claims, administrative law, military law, or related experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Represent veterans in benefits claims, appeals, and related administrative proceedings before the Department of Veterans Affairs and other relevant agencies.
• Review medical records, military service records, benefits files, and supporting documentation to identify issues and develop case strategy.
• Research statutes, regulations, administrative guidance, and case law affecting veterans benefits matters.
• Draft claim submissions, appeals, legal arguments, correspondence, and other case-related documents.
• Counsel clients on their claims, explain complex legal issues clearly, and keep them informed throughout the process.
• Manage an active caseload while meeting filing requirements, deadlines, and internal quality standards.
• Work closely with attorneys and support staff on case strategy, training, case reviews, and client service.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Location

This is a full-time, fully on-site opportunity in Scottsdale, Arizona. Our team works closely together in person, giving attorneys direct access to colleagues, case support, and collaborative problem-solving throughout the workday.

Strong leadership potential, high emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and the ability to work full-time on-site are essential. Prior veterans benefits or administrative law experience is highly valued but not required.
