Job summary

The Vermont Veterans' Home (VVH) is seeking a full-time Therapeutic Activities Aide to plan and lead recreational programs for its Veterans and VVH Members. You will help coordinate events funded by community organizations and support residents during activities.

Responsibilities include assisting with progress notes and daily data entry, and working 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, totaling 40 hours weekly with every-other weekends and holidays. A valid driver's permit is required for resident transport.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in nursing homes, healthcare settings or with older adults.
• Background checks including fingerprinting and FBI/State checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and lead recreational programs for residents.
• Assist residents to participate in community events and record progress.
• Support daily paperwork and data entry related to activities.
