Job summary

VOALA in Los Angeles is seeking dedicated staff to support vulnerable participants on-site, helping veterans, families, and community members access benefits and services. The role emphasizes respectful, trauma-informed engagement and adherence to mandated reporting.

Benefits include health, dental, vision and retirement; pay rate is $23.11–$24.33 per hour. Requires fingerprint clearance, TB/immunization records, BLS, and VA/VPAN trainings; on-site work and a strong commitment to client

Qualifications

Must pass fingerprint clearance and background checks.
Current TB screening and immunization records within 5 days of hire.
Copy of current professional license if applicable.
Current BLS certification within 15 days of hire.
Completion of all required trainings within 30 days of hire.
Ability to work with vulnerable clients under stress.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site services to participants daily.
Assist participants in obtaining benefits from veteran and community programs.
Refer clients to legal, social service, and administrative bodies as needed.
Monitor participants as they execute recovery/service plan and during home visits.
Help clients remove barriers to access aid programs.
Monitor support groups.
Learn VPAN Squad Leader functions.
Coordinate with CES, VA, and SPA-based systems.
Perform other duties as required.
