Job summary

VOALA seeks a dedicated VPAN Squad member to support veterans and at-risk individuals in the Los Angeles area. The role focuses on recovery planning, benefits assistance, housing referrals, and group work, on-site duties, and coordination with community partners.

You will conduct outreach, accompany participants to appointments, manage barriers to services, and help implement recovery/service plans under supervision, while adhering to safety and mandated reporter requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Complete 75 hours of VPAN staff training (includes specific VPAN trainings).
• Attend VA Peer Certification training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Services must be provided on-site and report to work on-site daily.
• Accompany participants to benefits, housing sessions, and related meetings.
• Refer clients to legal, community, social services as needed.
• Monitor participants and conduct home visits as part of recovery plans.
• Work to remove barriers to aid programs and coordinate with CES/VA/SPA systems.
• Support VPAN Squad Leader and participate in mandated reporting.
