Description & Requirements Maximus is currently hiring for Veteran Liaison Officers to join our Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team.

This is a remote opportunity.

The Veteran Liaison Officer is responsible for addressing all Veteran clients' concerns, disputes, scheduling requests, and issues that may arise throughout the handling of VA-requested Compensation and Pension (C&P) exams.

Responsibilities include educating veterans on VES and VA procedures, resolving potential problems, responding to feedback via email or calls, and managing cases as requested by Veterans or Servicemembers.

Due to contract requirements, only US Citizens or Green Card holders are eligible. Maximus pays the prevailing wage rate for the location, which varies depending on locality. Salary history is not considered in compensation decisions.

Essential Duties:

1. Handle incoming calls from upset Veterans and transferred calls from the Call Center.
2. Review cases at the request of Veterans/Servicemembers and process accordingly.
3. Make outgoing calls regarding compensation and pension exams.
4. Explain policies and procedures of VES and VA.
5. Request reschedules, cancellations, and no-shows as necessary.
6. Communicate with potentially violent, homicidal, or suicidal Veterans.

Upon hire, VES will provide all necessary computer equipment. Home office requirements include internet speed of 20mbps or higher, private work area, and residing permanently in the Continental US. Travel is not permitted.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Military Service.
